Sulfur discs are used for dry reclamation and disinfection of barrels or vats. These pucks are non-drip products that release sulfur dioxide (SO2) through combustion, inactivating any microorganisms present inside wine vessels.

Potassium metabisulfite compressed to form discs.

Use 1-2 discs per 7-10 hl of vacuum.

Introduce the lit disks into the drum by means of a wire that will be secured to the bunghole. In extracting the iron, care should be taken not to bump against the walls, to prevent the remaining unburned part from falling off. Dry and ventilate the drums before sulfurization.
