Medium+ toasted oak enological chips, from American oak (R).
Oak Tan R Medium+ Toast è consists of medium+ toasted oak chips derived from the American oak tree (Quercus R species) and is used in winemaking processes to bring specific organoleptic characteristics to wines. Among the benefits of Oak Tan are:
  • Premium oak characters: Oak Tan R Medium+ Toast introduces distinctive premium oak characters into the wine, which can enrich the wine’s aromatic and organoleptic profile.
  • Colour enhancement: this product contributes to improving the colour stability of the wine, helping to preserve its original hue.
  • Improved mouthfeel: Oak Tan R Medium+ Toast can improve the structure and mouthfeel of the wine, giving it greater fullness and body.
  • Reduction of vegetal characters: during fermentation, the use of Oak Tan R Medium+ Toast can help reduce unwanted vegetal characters in wines.
  • More delicate and harmonious wood notes: when used during fermentation, Oak Tan R Medium+ Toast can bring more delicate and balanced wood notes to the wine.

It is important to note that Oak Tan R Medium+ Toast comes exclusively from the oak species Quercus and does not undergo enzymatic, chemical or physical treatment other than heating. It does not contain any added flavouring products.

Preliminary laboratory tests are recommended to assess the desired organoleptic contribution and contact time.

It can be added directly into the barrel.
