Kordofix Dry is obtained by specific processing of the exudate of Kordofan-type gum arabic (levogyrus), known as long-chain. Here are some of its main characteristics and applications:
  • Composition and solubility: Kordofix Dry is a gum arabic powder, but what sets it apart is the manufacturing process. It is made by the spray drying technique, which makes the powder highly soluble and instantaneous. This feature is particularly useful in the wine industry, where products need to dissolve quickly to achieve the desired results.
  • Absence of sulfur dioxide: another feature of Kordofix Dry is its absence of sulfur dioxide, which may be relevant to wine producers who wish to avoid the use of this chemical compound.
  • Role in wine harmonization: Kordofix Dry is used to balance and correct the organoleptic characteristics of wines. This includes imparting smoothness and roundness to wine. The product works by binding to tannins that can cause astringency, eliminating edginess and making the wine softer and rounder.
  • Protective colloid function: Kordofix Dry also acts as a protective colloid. This means it prevents the formation of color precipitation in the wine, thus helping to maintain the color stability of the finished product.

Kordofix Dry is free of impurities but given the high molecular weight it could affect the filterability index of wines, so preliminary trials are recommended.
Warning: maximum legal dosage 30 g/hl.

Dissolve Kordofix Dry in water or wine at a ratio of 1:10 and add to the mass to be treated when reassembling. It is recommended not to increase the concentration of the prepared solution above 20%.
