Greengum

Microfiltered and purified solution of organic Seyal gum arabic.
Greengum is a Seyal gum arabic solution, distinguished by its purity and microfiltered quality, obtained through a targeted process that utilizes the exudate of the Acacia tree. With a clear appearance and a delicate straw-yellow color, this solution has a low calcium content. During its production, Greengum undergoes careful microfiltration to preserve the wines’ filterability index, allowing it to be added before the last filtration step. The distinctive features of Greengum are:
  • Exclusive purification: obtained by a specific process, Greengum represents purified and microfiltered gum arabic, ensuring a high standard of quality and purity.
  • Low calcium content: with a very low calcium content, Greengum is ideal for preserving the chemical composition of wines during the treatment process.
  • Preservation of the filterability index: due to its microfiltration during production, Greengum keeps the filterability index of wines intact, allowing it to be added at advanced stages of the filtration process.
  • Protective colloidal: Greengum’s main function is to act as a protective colloidal, offering a powerful anticoagulant effect, especially against low molecular weight polyphenolic substances and proteins present in wines intended for aging.
  • Prevention of turbidity and colloidal deposits: the addition of Greengum to wines helps to prevent turbidity and deposits of a colloidal nature, preserving clarity and avoiding alterations related to ferric and cupric cases.
  • Improved smoothness and velvetiness: Greengum goes beyond protection, improving smoothness and velvetiness of both white and red wines, contributing to a superior organoleptic experience.

Seyal gum arabic of organic origin 20%.
Sulfur dioxide 0.3%

40-150 ml/hl to prevent protein and copper casses and dye precipitation
80-100 ml/hl to improve tartaric stabilization also in combination with metatartaric acid
Preliminary laboratory tests are recommended for optimal dosages.
Warning: 100 ml/hl of Greengum provides about 4 mg/l of SO2.

Greengum should be added to wine before or after the last filtration or microfiltration leading to bottling.
Do not conduct clarification after the addition of Greengum.

1 kg bottle, 5, 10 and 25 kg canister.
