Greengel

Organic gelatin with high clarifying power and excellent efficacy on colloidal stabilization of wines.
Greengel, the organic gelatin of excellence, is distinguished by its exceptional clarifying power and ability to colloidally stabilize wines. Its solubility in warm water and high surface charge, resulting from the high molecular weight protein skeleton, make it a versatile solution for winemakers seeking superior results in wine processing. The characteristics of Greengel are:

  • Clarifying power: Greengel offers a powerful clarifying effect, helping to remove impurities and colloidal particles present in wines.
  • Colloidal stabilization: due to its unique composition, Greengel is particularly effective in colloidal stabilization of wines, helping to maintain their clarity over time.
  • Solubility in lukewarm water: the ease of solubility in lukewarm water makes Greengel conveniently usable during the winemaking process.
  • High surface charge: its high-molecular-weight protein skeleton gives Greengel a high surface charge, promoting interaction with astringent polyphenolic substances.
  • Lower affinity for coloring substances: while Greengel acts effectively on polyphenolic substances, it has a lower inclination to bind to coloring substances, thus preserving the color of red wines during the clarification process.
  • Versatility in application: suitable for both red and white and rosé wine clarification, Greengel adapts to the specific needs of the production process.
  • Compatibility with other clarifying agents: Greengel can be used in combination with bentonite and silica sol to achieve complete olfactory cleaning, which is particularly useful in the clarification of white and rosé wines.

Organic gelatin ± 180 Bloom.

4-10 g/hl for white wines

Dissolve Greengel in water at 35-40 °C and add to the mass to be treated within an hour of dissolution, avoiding the formation of any lumps.
Carry out refilling until the product is completely dissolved for about 30 minutes.

1 kg bag.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.
Does not contain GMO vegetables.
